Client Rights & Responsibilities
Strongly Kinnected is committed to providing safe, respectful, and professional child and family services. This page outlines what clients can expect from us, and what we expect from clients when engaging our services.
These rights and responsibilities apply to all services, including assessments, supervised contact, and support services.

Your Rights
All clients have the right to:

be treated with dignity, respect, and cultural safety

receive services that are child-focused and delivered within defined scope
-
be informed about the purpose, limits, and nature of the service being provided

have their personal information handled in accordance with privacy legislation
-
ask questions about service processes, scope, or information use
-
provide feedback or raise concerns about services received
-
access their records where legally appropriate
Strongly Kinnected aims to provide services that are transparent, ethical, and proportionate to the purpose of engagement.

Your Responsibilities
Clients are expected to:

treat children, practitioners, and other parties respectfully
-
follow safety requirements and service conditions
-
provide accurate and relevant information
-
engage honestly within the limits of the service being provided

attend sessions on time or provide notice if unable to attend
-
meet payment obligations as agreed
Clients must not engage in behaviour that is aggressive, abusive, threatening, or unsafe.

Behaviour Expectations
Strongly Kinnected has zero tolerance for behaviour that compromises safety.
This includes:

verbal abuse or intimidation
-
physical aggression
-
threats toward staff, children, or other parties
-
refusal to follow safety directions
Where behaviour is assessed as unsafe or inconsistent with service parameters, services may be paused, rescheduled, or ceased.

Participation and Choice
Clients are encouraged to participate actively in services within defined scope.
In support services, participation may include identifying priorities or areas for support.
In assessment services, participation relates to engagement in the process and provision of information. Assessment findings are determined independently and are not client-directed.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Strongly Kinnected respects client privacy. However:

confidentiality is not absolute

legal and child safety obligations may require information to be shared
-
information provided may be recorded as part of service delivery or assessment

Feedback and Complaints
Clients have the right to raise feedback or make a complaint without fear of retaliation.
