Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Strongly Kinnected. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which outline how we operate and what you can expect from us.
1. About Us
Strongly Kinnected is a private child and family service provider based in Central Queensland. We deliver independent, structured child and family services, including supervised contact, formal assessments, and defined support services.
Our practice is child-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally safe, and operates within clearly defined scope. Services are delivered in accordance with Queensland legislation, the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF), and relevant professional codes of practice.
2. Website Use
This website is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal advice or professional assessment findings.
Submitting an enquiry form, email, or phone call does not create a service agreement.
Services only commence once written confirmation of the booking and service scope has been provided by Strongly Kinnected.
Website content may be updated or removed at any time without notice.
3. Scope of Services
Strongly Kinnected provides the following services within defined scope:
-
Supervised contact and changeover services
-
Formal assessments, including Parenting Capacity Assessments, Family Functioning Assessments, and Foster and Kinship Carer Assessments
-
Defined parenting and family support programs
-
Relationship coaching and relationship counselling (non-evaluative)
Limitations:
Strongly Kinnected does not provide legal advice, representation, advocacy, or mediation. We do not determine custody, placement, or parenting arrangements. Our role is independent, professional, and limited to the scope of the service engaged.
4. Fees & Invoicing
Indicative pricing is outlined on our website to support transparency. Final fees are confirmed in writing following intake and confirmation of service scope.
Quotes outline service inclusions and any applicable surcharges (e.g. travel, public holidays, additional participants, or complexity). Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Written confirmation will specify who is responsible for payment (private client, agency, or referring body).
Invoices must be paid within the timeframe stated. Late or non-payment may result in services being paused or ceased.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a confirmed service without penalty.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a 50% fee.
Same-day cancellations or failure to attend may incur the full service fee.
In cases of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, unsafe weather conditions, practitioner unavailability), services will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
6. Service Conditions
All services are delivered in a child-focused, trauma-informed, and safety-driven manner.
Practitioners may pause, reschedule, or end a session if the situation is assessed as unsafe or inconsistent with service parameters.
Clients are expected to act respectfully toward children, practitioners, and other parties at all times.
Aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and may result in services being withdrawn.
Punctuality is essential. Late arrival may reduce session time but will still be charged at the full agreed fee.
7. Reports & Documentation
Reports (including session summaries, assessment reports, or court-ready documents) are provided only where relevant to the service engaged and are quoted separately.
Reports are based on professional observations, records, and structured assessment processes. They are descriptive or evaluative in accordance with the service engaged and do not constitute legal findings.
Report timeframes are confirmed in writing. Expedited reporting may attract additional fees.
8. Child Safety
Strongly Kinnected practitioners are mandatory reporters under Queensland law. Where there is a reasonable belief that a child is experiencing or is at risk of harm, we are legally required to notify the appropriate authority (e.g. Child Safety Services or the Queensland Police Service). This obligation overrides confidentiality.
9. Ending or Refusing Services
Strongly Kinnected may decline, suspend, or cease services where:
-
continuation is assessed as unsafe or no longer appropriate
-
invoices remain unpaid after the due date
-
a referral or funding arrangement is withdrawn
-
a client persistently breaches behavioural or safety expectations
10. Client Rights, Feedback & Complaints
Client Rights:
-
Clients have the right to be treated with dignity, respect, privacy, and cultural safety, and to receive clear information about service delivery and access to records where legally appropriate.
Client Responsibilities:
-
Clients are expected to respect the rights of others, follow safety requirements, provide accurate information, and meet payment obligations.
Feedback & Complaints:
-
Feedback is welcomed at any time. Complaints will be acknowledged promptly and managed in line with Strongly Kinnected’s Complaints & Feedback Procedure.
If a client is dissatisfied with the outcome, concerns may be escalated to external bodies, including the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety or the Queensland Ombudsman.
